Improving access to practical Solar Lighting for low income households

This project is undertaken in partnership with Antenna Technologies Switzerland and its goal is to provide practical solar lighting, in the form of individual systems, to rural households and reduce environmental destruction due to deforestation. The technology promoted by this project will enable rural households to access modern environmentally friendly source of energy for lighting, reduce women suffering, and increase chances for women to engage in economic activities, create new economic activities which use solar power and control environment damage by planting trees. The beneficiaries will have better chance to improve livestock production, which will lead to increase their income, use the increased income to raise their living standards
